Calgary Villains Elite FC is very proud of our very own Marco Carducci who has been picked for the 2008 Western Danone Nations team. Marco will play against the Eastern team this July in Toronto. The winner of the match will represent Canada in Paris, France at the 2008 Danone Nations Cup.

Youths and parents were honoured with a weekend training camp combined with the annual Calgary Villains Elite FC awards night with the world famous Davor Suker and coaching associates put on by Calgary Villains Elite FC & Golden Goal Soccer Academy.

09/ 15/2006 Congratulation to Vito Poletto & Dominique Point Du Jour in participating in the Danone Nations Cup in Lyon, France for Team Canada. Vito, Dominque and the rest of the Canadian team did awesome with 4 wins, 2 ties and 1 loss beating teams like Germany, Holland and Mexico. Both boys used there skills and training from Golden Goal to put many International goals passed there competitor keepers.

This is an incredible accomplishment for Ethan was the only player selected within Alberta for the Mens U15 National Team. The U15 Mens Canadian National Team will hold training camps and International matches throughout the year, the U-15 team consists of players who are eligible to compete for the next FIFA Under-17 World Cup. The purpose of the team is to provide International experience ahead of their selection to 'competitive' (U-17 and U-20) teams. Great Job Ethan.................

Vito Poletto & Dominique Point Du Jour, both players for Calgary Villains Elite FC, have just been picked to be a part of the Danone Canada 2006 team that will play at the Danone Nations Cup in Lyon, France during the autumn of 2006. The Danone Nations Cup is the biggest international soccer cup for kids, involving 32 countries worldwide. Only 14 Canadian players were picked from approximately 5,000 participants. Vito & Dominque will attend a one week training session with the rest of the Canadian team in Montreal and then the team is flown to France to represent Canada in a week of incredible soccer.

The children are selected through national trials all over the world. The Danone Nations Cup gives over 2.5 million children the opportunity to take part in an international tournament and to develop their passion for football and skills in the game.

Vito, Dominque and the rest of the Danone Canadian team will experience and share the emotions of an international sporting event, recognized by FIFA and the national federations, and founded on team spirit and the sense of fair play. This year, the Danone Nations Cup is sponsored by an exemplary champion: Zinedine Zidane.
